Cut-Outs are Here to Stay, So Here's a Peek at 2022's Hottest Pieces
The cut-out fashion trend we can't get enough of!

If there's one style that seems to be prevalent on the runways of New York, Paris, London, Milan, and Melbourne this year, it's CUT-OUTS.

Usually, I'll notice a particular trend sticks around for a few seasons, but that's not the case for the cut-out. Having debuted first in 2020, it's been continuously reappearing among fashion weeks, celebrity outfits, and in our very own favourite Aussie labels, so it's safe to say that they'll be sticking around for a long time yet.

But why do we love this trend? Personally, I believe it's the various cut-out aesthetics that give a little sexy mystery of skin exposure. With this trend, you'll find everything from asymmetrical ovals and circles to more subdued patterns, plus racy patterns leaving little room for interpretation. There are also the sophisticated cut-outs with a minimalist aesthetic, leaning towards are more professional vibe. Just add a few stylish accessories for a vibe upgrade that will take you from office to bar quicker than you can say 'martini'.

In short, the cut-out trend is super versatile, giving you lots of peekaboo options – and who doesn't like options? In my eyes, it's possibly the hottest trend to wear in 2022, so without further ado, here's my round-up of some of the most stylish cut-out fashion finds so far this year.
