Kvadrat/Raf Simons launch Shaker-inspired accessories
The Raf Simons for Kvadrat accessories collection was unveiled on 10 August 2022.

Since Kvadrat and Raf Simons joined forces to design an upholstery collection eight years ago, their fabrics have become somewhat coveted, to say the least, combining Kvadrat's passion for quality with Raf Simons' elegant aesthetic.

Salone del Mobile and 3 Days of Design frequently notice new launches garnering enthusiasm, and the tote bags given at these events in conjunction with the recent collection have quickly become collectors' items.

The launch of a full Kvadrat/Raf Simons accessories collection in August 2022 is destined to receive a warm welcome: so confident is the Danish textile brand in this collection's success that it has decided to open a dedicated accessories store in Copenhagen.

'The collection consists of a unified series, a storage system and an edit of accessories honouring utility, function and materiality. While living in the US, I developed a deep appreciation of Shaker culture. Its ordered homes and simple, functional furniture are considered the first modern American design,' - explains Simons.

About The Collection

Storage and accessories that reflect utility, function, and materiality, bringing meaning and artistry to the home. Essentially, it is a solution to today's complex lifestyle, creating beauty from order. The Shaker System collection comes in four colourways: black, off-white, dark green, and pink.
By keeping the colour tonality constant, Simons was able to keep the cohesion, despite the variations in the different materials.

There is something timeless and beautiful about having multiple accessories in a similar colour. It gives the collection a distinct look. Yet, I also like the way Simons plays with colour, particularly the contrast between dark green and pink.

Kvadrat/Raf Simons has created an incredibly elegant and gorgeous collection here, and we're looking forward to what they will reveal next.

About Kvadrat/Raf Simons

With a mutual appreciation for fine craftsmanship, Kvadrat and Raf Simons started collaborating in 2014. Embracing Kvadrat's quality and Raf Simons' refined elegance, the collection uses materials that reflect both.

During the first Kvadrat/Raf Simons collection, textiles from the collection were used in Raf Simons' highly acclaimed menswear collection in collaboration with artist Sterling Ruby in January 2014 in a fashionable setting. In 2015 Kvadrat/Raf Simons upholstery designs graced the Paris runway on more than one occasion, when Raf Simons presented his A/W 2015 and A/W 2016 menswear collection at the Christian Dior Couture show A/W 2014—15 and Christian Dior Ready To Wear A/W 2015.
